I am proud to be one of 25 people to run this year's NYC Marathon on behalf of Lead the Way Fund. Lead the Way Fund is a 501c3 non-profit organization established to raise funds in support of families of U.S. Army Rangers who have died, have been disabled, or are currently serving in harm's way around the world. The funds raised will provide spouses and children of deceased, disabled, or active duty Rangers with assistance for health and wellness programs and other forms of financial aid.

Lead the Way Fund was created in honor of James J. Regan, a high school classmate of mine, who was killed in Iraq in 2007 while serving with the Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Training for a marathon requires a lot of sacrifice, but the sacrifice Jimmy and all Rangers make for our safety puts everything in perspective, and makes each run a little easier. I have committed to raise $3,000 toward this worthy charity and run the 26.2 miles in New York City on November 1, 2009. Thank you in advance for any support you can provide.
